Prickly pear has a sweet unique taste. I highly recommend trying it. It goes well with so many dishes such a glaze when baking turkey, chicken or even quail to simply spreading it on your morning toast. This jam certainly brings back wonderful childhood memories too! For me, it was an annual family affair gathering the fruit, making jam and syrup and the wonderful aroma that came along with it. Thank you for making this wonderful jam!
